Frequently asked questions
Does the PCQI need to be on-site at my facility?
No. A PCQI can review documentation and sign off on records remotely. For foreign facilities, an on-site visit is typically only needed for the initial audit and staff training.
Do you work with companies outside the food industry, or only F&B?
Larsen USA works exclusively with food and beverage manufacturers, importers, carriers, and co-packers.
We already have a HACCP plan. Can you just review it?
Yes — a gap assessment is the right starting point for manufacturers who already have systems in place but need an outside review before an audit or U.S. market entry.
Do you offer services in French?
Yes. Documentation and written communication are available in French for manufacturers based in France, Québec, Africa and other Francophone markets, as well as some intermediate (A2) verbal interaction with staff/employees.
How long does a typical engagement take?
It depends on scope, but most HACCP/SOP projects run several weeks to a few months; ongoing retainers continue monthly after the initial project is complete.
